Why insects?

Insects are fascinating. They play different roles in the ecosystem, and their diversity enchants me. Also, they are beautiful.

Why University of Minnesota? What is your favorite thing about UMN?

The University of Minnesota is a highly respected and internationally recognized institution in entomology and integrated pest management. The Department of Entomology at the University of Minnesota is one of the oldest and most well-established Entomology departments worldwide. It has an excellent reputation in research and teaching, with highly qualified professors and experts in various areas of entomology. My favorite thing about UMN is that there are a lot of students from other countries, which provides an environment for research development and the formation of collaboration and research networks.
