Illustrations of Male Genitalia (under construction)These are a combination of pencil sketches drawn with the camera lucida as well as final inked illustrations. As I complete illustrations I will post them here. All illustrations include a lateral view of segments IX and X and their appendages, dorsal view of segment IX and the preanal appendage (usually just one half is illustrated), ventral view of the inferior appendage, and lateral view of the phallic apparatus, often with a dorsal view of the apex of the periphallic process. Other structures are illustrated where appropriate for individual species. I have also indicated on the illustrations the collection locality of the specimen illustrated. I have not labeled the pencil sketches, but will include appropriate labels on the final inked illustrations. . |
