UMSP Trichoptera Biota© database

Structure of the database

The Biota online version mirrors the data file located at UMSP. This means that the data displayed online are always current. When the database is updated at UMSP, the online version will automatically be updated as well.

The only difference is that the online version is not editable. You can only search and view what the database file contains, you cannot enter or modify data.

Each search is unique, with a dynamically produced search result.

As a relational database, Biota has a number of related core tables (see diagram).
