Neotropical Trichoptera Literature EndNote® database

An EndNote® (version 7) library of Neotropical Trichoptera literature or "TrichopLit.enl" is managed by Ralph Holzenthal. The library is available in three formats. The Reference Web Poster interface allows the user to query the database and export selected references via any web browser, requiring no additional software. Alternatively, the entire library can be downloaded in Endnote library format, but this requires the user to have or purchase the EndNote software. Lastly, the library can be downloaded as a "rich text format" (rtf) file allowing the user to open and edit the file in Microsoft Word or other word processing application.

The library includes all references cited in the Catalog of the Neotropical Caddisflies which covered the literature through 1998 and into 1999, with the addition of new references extracted from Zoological Records and other sources from 1998 through the present. The database library also includes non-Neotropical literature and currently contains 3,174 entries. The database is not yet a complete bibliography of the Neotropical or World Trichoptera literature, but that is the goal of the effort. New versions of the database will be posted as additional literature is added (this will appear seamless to the user). Any errors of omission or spelling are those of the manager and will be corrected as discovered. Comments, additions, or problems with access should be directed to Ralph Holzenthal. Thanks to Brady Richards for providing additional references from his EndNote library to this database.

Option 1
. Access the database via Reference Web Poster. Note: Reference Web Poster is not entirely compatible with the Macintosh version of Internet Explorer. If problems occur, first try another browser (Netscape, Safari, etc.).
Option 2. Download the EndNote file.
Option 3. Download the Rich Text Format file.

The database formats (options 1 & 2) can be searched by author, keywords, periodical, year, title, and other indexed fields using Boolean search strategies.

Users of EndNote will be familiar with the use of that program. Users accessing the database via Reference Web Poster can select here or within the database for detailed information on searching, viewing, and exporting records.
