Field Crops IPM

Education:

Ph.D. - Entomology, Oregon State University (1994)
M.S. - Biology, University of Victoria (1988)
B.S. - Biology, University of Prince Edward Island (1980)

Address:

University of Minn. Northwest Research and Outreach Center
2900 University Ave
Crookston, MN 56716
phone: (218) 281-8611
fax: (218) 281-8603
E-mail: imacrae@tc.umn.edu

Research Interests:

Site-specific IPM; landscape ecology and population dynamics; Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial statistics and computer applications in entomology; use of interactive information systems in technology transfer and extension; spatial aspects of pesticide resistance.

Teaching Interests:

I presently offer the Introductory and Applied Entomology course at the Crookston campus of the University of Minnesota. In addition I have provided a distance delivered courses in Introductory Entomology to Southwest State University in Marshall, MN and Digital Mapping and Interpretation of Populations, cooperatively offered to both the University of Minnesota and North Dakota State University. This course examines the uses of Geographic Information Systems and spatial statistics to map and analyse population dynamics. It is simultaneously delivered to both UMN's St Paul and NDSU's Fargo campuses.
